Aviva, the team behind UKA (UK Athletics), partnered Sportsbeat’s coverage of the championship, which saw British athletes win six medals, including two golds.
Managing editor James Toney and Tom Oldfield provided copy from Berlin while Tom Reynolds reported from the British team’s preparation camp in Portugal.
Aviva’s messaging ran on all Sportsbeat’s coverage, which was supplied to over 50 regional newspaper titles.
In total 55 titles were supplied, reaching a combined circulation in excess of seven million.
Aviva has supported athletics from playground to podium for the past ten years and also partnered Sportsbeat’s news distribution service during 2007 IAAF World Championships in Osaka.
“We are delighted to continue our ongoing association with Aviva with such a successful event,” said Executive Editor David Parsons.
“We remain committed to providing our editors with the best possible coverage of track and field, from the elite events like the World Championships to the English Schools’ Championship last month and the UK School Games.”
