National sports agency Sportsbeat will work alongside the British Olympic Association at this year’s first-ever Youth Olympic Games while Team GB and London 2012 sponsor Lloyds TSB will partner the coverage.
Sportsbeat will supply written and video content to their network of newspaper and online clients with Great Britain sending a 40-strong team, which will compete in 16 sports, to Singapore.
“No-one covers more youth sport in the UK than Sportsbeat - so the Youth Olympics Games, while a new concept, is the pinnacle of that service,” said Managing Editor James Toney.
“We already provide news distribution services to the organisers and sponsors of the UK School Games, Aviva English Schools’ Championship and Balfour Beatty London Youth Games - so this coverage deal was a natural extension.”
Lloyds TSB will also partner Sportsbeat’s London 2012 ‘two years to go’ coverage which will be supplied to more than 100 newspapers across the United Kingdom.
